The cricket fraternity is waiting anxiously to find out who will be leading them for the next two years.
The tenure for the Bashir ‘Badu’ Ansasira led board will be ending on the January 26 with the elections part of the agenda at the annual general meeting.
The cricket fraternity elects a new chairman every two years, Bashir popularly known as Badu has led the new structured board for the last couple years during which the association has gone through a lot of changes.
Badu and his team were able to see the seamless transition from out going CEO Justine Ligyalingi to current CEO Martin Ondeko. However, they lost Eric Kamara who was serving as Honorary Secretary due to work commitments outside the country but he was replaced by Wanderers delegate Micheal Nuwagaba.
It’s not yet clear who will be running for chairman but there are intentions from the current chairman Badu to run for his last elective term while Micheal Nuwagaba has again been nominated by Wanderers for the role of Honorary Secretary.
The AGM will be held at the Copper Chimney in Lugogo and it will start at 2pm.
