
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will reveal the host nation for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday January 08, 2019.
This was revealed on Caf’s website with the Confederation rescheduling the CAF Executive Committee meeting from Wednesday to Tuesday.
“The CAF Executive Committee meeting has been brought forward to Tuesday, 8 January 2019 at the Terrou-Bi Hotel in Dakar, Senegal, at 08H30 GMT…” read a statement by Caf.
“The meeting was initially scheduled for Wednesday, 9 January 2019 at 09H00 at the same venue. Top on the agenda is the decision on the host of the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations.
Immediately after the meeting, a presser will be held to announce the host for the 24 – team competition due in June and July.
South Africa and Egypt are vying for the honour after Cameroon was stripped off of the rights for failure to meet standards less than a year to the final tournament.
