CAF ‘B’ licenced tactician Abbey Bogere ‘Capello’ Kikomeko is a ‘‘ Mr Fix it all’’ at Jinja based Uganda Premier League side, Kirinya-Jinja S.S Football Club.
At all times, Bogere has endured the good and trying moments at the club.
At a time the club mutually parted ways with former head coach Charles Ayiekoh Lukula, Bogere has been named as interim coach until a permanent solution is found.
This will be the third time that Bogere is being called upon to steer the club.
On Thursday, he was officially unveiled to the media by the club’s vice president Godfrey Osodo Bwire.
Following our performance in the first half of the season, we agreed to appoint Kikomeko as our technical director because he has the abilities. He now takes over from Ayiekoh who requested us to leave so that he can attend coaching studies. Kikomeko will be our interim coach as we continue to look for the head coach.

Christened ‘Capello’ after the legendary Italian coach, Bogere is best remembered having guided the club to the Uganda Premier League in the year 2016 before he fell out of favour with management and was replaced.
He has since been with the junior side at the school that won the national Copa Cocacola championship in 2017 during the championships held in Masaka.
I am not new at Kirinya-Jinja S.S Football Club. I am here to fix some things and see that the club gets to where it deserves to be. Our performance in the first round wasn’t that pleasant that’s why we sit in the 11th position on the table. I will try my level best to see that we attain a respectable finish. On Friday, we play against Vipers a side that is winless in the last two games and are on the eve of exiting the CAF competitions a few days ago. We are aware they need the three points but we also badly need maximum points. So everyone should expect a tough game.
Abbey Bogere Kikomeko, Kirinya-Jinja S.S Head Coach
The league reigning champions Vipers host the ‘Students’ at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Friday, 1st February 2019 for the respective club’s first game of the second round.
With only four victories in 15 matches, Kirinya-Jinja S.S is not any safe from the relegation politicking having accumulated 19 points with 7 draws and 4 losses as they are 11th on the 16 team log.
