When West Nile based Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka Football Club visit Bright Stars at the Champions Stadium on Saturday, 2nd February 2019, the Catarpillars will don a brand new kit.
Past are the misery days when Onduparaka FC would don a jersey with bandaged masking tape covering their previous out-dated sponsor.
This followed sponsorship a from telecommunications firm, covering match day hospitality bills, stadium branding, merchandise and ‘some’ allowances for players and officials alike.

Onduparaka FC chairman Benjamin Nyakuni expressed delight upon the offer.

The renewal of such a sponsorship with an improved offer is testament of the confidence and trust that the sponsor vests unto the club. We shall not disappoint as we work hard. I call upon the fans to use the sponsors’ services.
In the same vein, the club patron and Member of Parliament for Anyivu county Bernard Atiku, too was grateful of the new sponsorship;
Hon. Bernard Atiku, MP Anyivu County and Patron of Onduparaka FC
Onduparaka Football Club is a young promising club whose natural growth has attracted such big brands. We shall continue to improve as time move by. Such sponsorships help us to improve players’ welfare as well as the club infrastructure.
Onduparaka FC remains one of the most passionately followed clubs in the Uganda’s top tier football league, in the same bracket as Tooro United, Sports Club Villa, Paidha Black Angels, Mbarara City, KCCA and Vipers.
The Catarpillars are currently fifth on the team log with 24 points off 15 matches before the Bright Stars’ visit.
