Hard tackling midfielder Ivan Mbowa has reunited with tactician Charles Livingstone Mbabazi.

The two parties enjoyed a stellar relationship earlier at West Nile club, Onduparaka F.C back in the days.

When Mbabazi left the Caterpillars for Mbarara City, Mbowa initially crossed over, only to be signed by rivals Nyamityobora Football Club.

Perhaps, in a quick fix of events, Mbowa is back at Mbarara City for the second stanza of the 2018-19 Uganda Premier League.

The hard-tackling midfielder was restricted to less than six appearances at Nyamityobora before an injury forced the bosses to lay him off.

With Mbowa in their ranks, Mbarara City FC is now assured of safe shield for their backline with Pistis Barenge the other defensive midfield option at their disposal.

Mbowa thus becomes the fourth mid-season signing for the Ankole Lions.

Defender Otim Ocitti, Uganda U-20 midfielder Derrick Onyai and a goalkeeper are the other signings for the club.

Mbarara City makes the trip to Luzira on Tuesday, 5th February 2019 to take on Maroons before facing off with bitter rivals three days later at Kakyeka Stadium.
