Ugandan internationals Emmanuel Okwi, Joseph Ochaya and Murushid Jjuuko all featured as Tanzania’s Simba were held at home by DR Congo side TP Mazembe in the Caf Champions League quarterfinals first leg.

Okwi and Jjuuko came off the bench for the home side at the National stadium, Dar es Salaam while Ochaya started for the DR Congo side.

Jjuuko replaced Ivorian Pascal Serge Wawa who got injured in the opening minutes of the game but Okwi had to wait till the second half to come on for the off colour Cletus Chama.

However, the talking point from the game will be a penalty miss by Tanzania forward and Simba captain John Bocco.

Meddie Kagere forced a hand ball inside the area but Bocco skied his effort to the relief of the visiting side.

The two sides square off in the second leg with the aggregate winner progressing to the semifinals.
