As the National Rally Championship heads into the third round this weekend in Masaka, Godfrey Lubega aka Tallman is hopeful to roll in his season’s title chances.

Lubega secured a  fifth place finish in his last rally outting in March. He bagged 50 points.

The Subaru driver is now aiming to break into the podium places.

“I am back to seriously have a shot at this year’s title. I feel it is  possible for us after our first event.

“I scheduled to do the rest of the events this year. We have done whatever needs to be fixed on the car and now its all left for us to battle it out,” said Lubega.

Lubega who has a single rally win to his name feels that it won’t be a tall order breaking through the tight competition for the title despite being 110 points off the championship leader.

“To fight for the title you need to be well prepared. I believe I am and we have the pace too.

“I know several strong drivers are after the same but we shall also do our battle to fight. Our priority will be to finish every event in top positions,” he added.

He will have Bashiel Mbogo calling the notes in the Subaru N12.
