Weatherhead and Kampala Hockey Club (KHC) have a chance to go top of the table in the men’s division on Saturday.

The two teams face off at Lugogo hockey ground in a clash anticipated to be a close contest.

Weatherhead is second on the log with 12 points just one behind leaders Wananchi and victory against KHC will send them top on 15 points.

Equally, Kampala Hockey Club who are third on 12 points can move to the top if they win on Saturday.

Weatherhead have had a perfect start to the season winning all their opening four games scoring 20 goals in their last three games.

They beat up on Rockets (11-0), Makerere (4-0) and Historicals (5-0).

In the four games played, Weatherhead have conceded just two goals this season making them the team with the best defence.

Timothy Ntumba, Vincent Kasasa and Ashraf Tumwesigye will be key for Weatherhead given their scoring run.

The aforementioned trio has scored 15 goals amongst themselves with five goals each and lead the scoring charts.

KHC haven’t picked maximum points in their last two outings including a surprise defeat to Simba two weeks ago.

However, they will come into the clash against Weatherhead with confidence after picking a point against Wananchi last week.

The other game to be played on Saturday will see Simba taking on Makerere hockey club.
