Tanzania U-17 Head Coach Oscar Mirambo still believes that the Serengeti Boys can still make it to the semi-finals of the U-17 Afcon despite back to back defeats to Nigeria and Uganda.

The hosts are bottom of Group A with no points in two games but all four teams still have a chance.

They take on Angola on Saturday who are also desperate to bounce back after falling to Nigeria in the previous game.

Mirambo couldn’t hide the disappointment of a 3-0 defeat to the Cubs but admits a lot of lessons have been learnt.

“It’s disappointing but it’s not the end of the world, it’s always good to learn from your mistakes,” Mirambo said.

We are not cursing ourselves out, we suppose that should it be not in the favour of Uganda in the next game, if we win our game there are some calculations that need to be done.

The tactician whose side have conceded a competition high 8 goals so far says they will give it all in the last game and wait for what happens elsewhere.

“We are looking forward to winning the next game and then the rest will be counted up.”

The two top sides from each group will represent Africa in the U-17 Fifa World Cup due in Brazil later this year.
