  • Yeak Kabowa 12- 5 Equator

Yeak Kabowa recovered from their Futsal Uganda Cup exit in scintillating style to maintain their grip at the top of the log.

A week ago, Crown ended Yeak Kabowa’s dream of winning a double this season eliminating them at the semifinal stage.

However, they made quick amends with a comprehensive victory over Equator as the Futsal Super League returned with matchday 20 on Thursday.

Yeak Kabowa literally broke no sweat to dispatch Equator winning the game 12-5.

Leading goal scorer Enock Ssebagala continued with his scoring spree with five goals on the day.

This means Ssebagala took his goal tally to 35 points out of the 109 goals the team has scored this season.

Shafik Avemah also registered his name on the score sheet with four goals, John Musaasizi netted a brace while Andrew Kiyaga added the other.

Victory means Yeak Kabowa moved to 48 points.

Second-placed Park remained within chasing gap after overcoming Dream winning 4-3 in a closely contested encounter.

Iddi Babu, Francis Matunga (brace) and John Aziku scored for Park while Ryan Mulindwa and Swahib Kazibwe (brace) scored for Dream.

Mengo City staged a comeback to defeat Aidenal who led 3-1 at halftime but the former eventually won the game 8-4.

Bajim who also lost in the Uganda Cup recovered with a 2-1 win against bottom-placed side Yap Stars.

Elephants edged Kabowa United with a 4-3 win while Crown and Parakeets lost to Typhoon and Nomad respectively.
