SC Villa players celebrate a goal at Namboole

SC Villa relegation woes could wait for another season after the side picked a vital 1-0 win away to Maroons on Tuesday.

Ronald Magwali scored the all-important goal for the Jogoos who now move five points above the drop zone with two games left to end the season.

The winner arrived in the 22nd minute for the midfielder turned forward who bagged his third goal in five games.

Prior to the game, the 16-time league champions had drawn goalless against rivals for survival, Ndejje University at Namboole while Maroons had literally secured safety with a 4-0 win at Nyamityobora.

Douglas Bamweyana’s charges are now on 31 points in 13th place while Maroons are one place better with a point above.
