Telecommunications giants Airtel Uganda Limited are in group C, arguably the toughest group on paper at the 2019 FUFA Corporate tournament.
The Uganda Cranes main sponsors are housed in the same group as Eco Bank, Bidco Uganda Limited, CAA and Red Pepper.
The draws were held on Wednesday at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel ahead of the tournament that will take place this Saturday at the Kampala International School (KISU) in Bukoto.

In group A, new comers Kyagalanyi will face Diamond Trust Bank, Nile Special, UPL Secretariat and another new side on board, National Population Council.
UMEME, Corporate League Team, AAL, Sanyuka TV and hosts KISU are in group B.
Group D has FUFA FM, NIC Holdings Limited, Sogea Satom, Roofings Limited and Pepsi, a product of Crown Beverages Limited.

Rogers Byamukama, the chairman of the FUFA Marketing Committee witnessed the draws.
Byamukama, who is also a FUFA Executive Committee member called upon the corporate family to embrace the tournament that helps in networking.
For the fifth year running, FUFA will hold its annual Corporate tournament. This tournament is to interact with the corporate community, and network with potential sponsors. It is all about business networking creating relationships with the external stake holders. We started with eight teams. In the fifth year, we have 20 teams. It will be a great family day experience.

According to the FUFA Marketing director, Esther Musoke, the winning team will pocket a cash prize of Shs. 3M, gold medals and a glittering trophy.

There are four grounds that will be used at KISU. They have been named after four FUFA Presidents, the incumbent Moses Magogo, Lawrence Mulindwa, Dennis Obua and John Ssebana Kizito.
The top two companies per group will qualify for the quarter-finals before the semi-finals and eventually finals.
Licensed players (at all the five divisions of FUFA) will not be allowed to take part.
Last year’s tournament was won by Red Pepper.
