The title race in the 2018-19 Futsal Super League got a twist following results from matchday 22 on Thursday.
Whereas leaders Yeak Kabowa maintained their grip at the summit, second-placed Park lost more ground in the title chase with yet another disappointing result.
Despite missing lethal forward and current top scorer with 36 goals, Enock Ssebagala, Yeak Kabowa fought hard to overcome Crown winning the game 2-1.
In the absence of Ssebagala, his partner in crime Shafik Avemah took the responsibility scoring the winning goal in the second half.
Andrew Kayanja had given Yeak Kabowa the lead but Crown rallied back through Ahmed Abdulhakim.
This was a repeat of the Futsal Uganda Cup encounter where Crown edged Yeak Kabowa on penalties.
Salim Gavamukulya was sent off but this didn’t stop Yeak Kabowa from winning and remaining top of the table on 54 points.
Second-placed Park ceded more ground in the title race and now are six points behind Yeak Kabowa following their ten-goal thriller against Bajim.
Despite leading 3-1 at halftime, Park could only settle for a point against a resilient Bajim side.
Defending champions Dream were 3-2 winners against Elephants in the opening game of the day.
Mengo City were the biggest winners on the night running riot against bottom-placed Kabowa United securing a 7-1 win.
Aidenal, Nomad and Equator also registered victories in their respective games.
