KCCA Soccer Academy and BUL Junior Team extended their lead in Treble and Hat trick group respectively following their victories in the FUFA Juniors League.
The two aforementioned teams earned maximum points on Sunday with KCCA SA outwitting URA FC junior team while BUL FC junior team edged Kirinya Jinja SS in the Jinja derby.
Fresh from thumping Police Armless Brigade 7-0 in midweek, KCCA SA had another field day making light work over the junior tax collectors.
Joseph Bukenya Kizza, Justine Opiro, Sunday Opio and Hassan Jurua scored a goal each to guide KCCA SA to a 4-0 win.
The victory meant KCCA SA remained top in Treble Group on 53 points, six ahead of second-placed Vipers JT who were not action with their game against Police Armless Brigade postponed.
In the same group, Maroons stunned Onduparaka in Arua winning the game 1-0 courtesy of Ismail Ali’s goal.
Ndejje University FC Junior Team secured a 2-0 win against Paidha Black Angels with goals coming from Richard Akena and John Baptist Kisa.
In hat trick group, BUL won the Jinja derby 2-1 to maintain their grip at the summit with victory elevating them to 44 points.
Herbert Onyango and Hamis Diego got the goals for BUL while Kirinya scored through Hussein Sajjabi.
Two walkovers were registered in this group with Tooro United and Nyamityobora for the third straight time failing to honour games.
It should be noted that Nyamityoora was already relegated from the Uganda Premier League and thus lose their slot in the Juniors League automatically.
This could be the reason as to why they are no longer honouring games.
When contacted, Bashir Mutyaba, the FUFA Youth development officer indicated the two teams have no proper reasons for failing to honour games and their case has been forwarded to the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel (CDP).
The other game between Bright Stars JT and Mbarara City JT was postponed.
The leader in either group at the end of the third leg face off in a championship final to determine the league winner.
