FUFA Big League outfit Kitara Football Club has confirmed the appointment of Mark Twinamatsiko as their head coach.

The development was duly affirmed on Friday, 2nd August 2019 by the club’s vice president in charge of communications Francis Mugerwa via a media statement.

“After learning that coach Richard Makumbi who coached the team last season was on his way to UPDF FC, the Kitara FC technical department started scouting for a coach and we now have Mark Twinamatisko,” part of the statement read.

Twinamatisko is a holder of a CAF C coaching license and has the experience having handled a number of clubs at different levels.

The tactician who handled Masindi based Doves last season penned a one-year contract with Kitara Football Club for the forthcoming 2019/2020 season.

He has been tasked to secure Promotion for Kitara F.C into the Uganda Premier league which will earn him huge bonuses as enshrined in his contract.

“There are confidentiality clauses in his contract. There will be an official unveiling ceremony at Kitara FC home ground. We warmly welcome coach Mark to Kitara FC and wish him the best in his coaching career. All players, fans, managers and all football stakeholders are requested to give him the support he needs to execute his mandate,” the statement read.

Twinamatisko will officially begin coaching the team when players regroup for training.

About Twinamatisko:

He started his coaching career at Uganda Christian University (UCU) in 2008 and he managed the University team up to 2013. He served as President of Free stars FC from 2010 to 2012.

In 2011, he coached Bugerere Ssaza team, before crossing to Kyaggwe Ssaza in the subsequent year.

Between 2013 to 2015, he coached Saints Football Club and promoted the team to the Uganda Premier League.

In 2015 up to 2016, he Coached Kirinya – Jinja SS (now Busoga United) and promoted the team to the Premier League.

Between 2016 to 2018, he coached Kira United FC and guided them to the FUFA Big League playoffs. He then returned to Kyagwe Ssaza in 2018.

Last season, he coached Dove Football Club and guided them to the FUFA Big league playoffs.
