Richard Lumu has named his Rams squad for the first match of the 2021 rugby season. Rams make the visit to Kyadondo Rugby Grounds for the matchday’s early kick off against Buffaloes.

Going into the match, Lumu cited low player turnup for training that hindered preparations for the match but he is optimistic his charges will get a positive result.

“We have worked hard but (we are) still being affected by numbers turning up for training. But we shall be ready for this Saturday against Buffaloes,” Lumu said.

He has however named two extra players on the squad for this match.

It is a Rajab, Rwakayanga and Lubangaken front row start with Tabu and Emojong locking out the second row.

Emmanuel Kinyera

Shakur Saka and Aziz Karim’s partnership at halfback continues from last season. At fullback is Emmanuel Kinyera who looks to improve his outstanding performance from the same season.

Nelson Mandela, Dan Kateregga and Humphrey Magero could make their first appearances for Rams if they are brought on as substitutes

The match will kick off at 2pm and mark the start of the return to rugby in Uganda.
