- MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo 4pm
KCCA coach Mike Mutebi expects a good brand of football when Police visits at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo on Friday afternoon.
The two teams are labelled by football enthusiasts in the country as the ones that play the most entertaining brand of football in the premier league.
The hosts come into the game on the back of four wins on the trot after edging Kyetume FC 1-0 on Friday while Police lost 2-0 at home to URA.
Nevertheless, KCCA four wins have come against teams at the bottom and this will be the Kasasiro’s sternest test since playing away to Wakiso Giants where they were held.
“Currently, we are going to face a Police side that plays good football,” said Mike Mutebi. “Whoever is effective on the day will win but we expect to do better to pick a good result. The previous records don’t matter,” he added.
The hosts have in form players in Charles Lwanga, Sadat Anaku, Bright Anukani and former Police midfielders Samson Kigozi and Ashraf Mugume they will be tasked to unlock the Cops defence.
At the back, Peter Magambo remains the key man to stop league leading top scorer Brian Mayanja Muruli, veteran forward Henry Kisekka and the silky Johnson Odong.
In defence, Muhamood Hassan will be vital for Police if they are to end their winless run against the Kasasiro and so is Tonny Mawejje in the middle of the back.
KCCA lie 4th on the log with 26 points, only ahead of fifth placed Police.
A win for KCCA will lift them to 3rd on the table and within a point of joint leaders Vipers and URA who face off on Saturday in a lunch time kick off.
Police will go fourth with victory, just four points off leading pack.
