  • Nile Special Stout Rugby Premier League
  • 4pm: Mongers vs Warriors
  • House of Pain, Entebbe.

There is a stark contrast in Mongers and Warriors team announcements for this weekend’s clash at the House of Pain in Entebbe during matchday three of the Nile Special Stout Rugby Premier League.

Warriors have maintained their full starting pack for the second straight game while Mongers have made 3 changes and 3 positional swaps in theirs from last weekend.

It is a fresh front row for Mongers with props Segawa and Wako swapping places, and Cheche replacing Kagimu who is out of the squad. Chisano will start at looseforward with Oroma and Kalule who is in for Papi. Veteran Andrew Olweny has been named among the substitutes as the team goes for a strong finish.

The backlines has been shuffled about by both teams. Halfbacks Angana and Kairu are the only players maintained for Mongers while for Warriors, it is Nyeko, Tago, and Kinyai. Henry Musisi starts as the visitors’ flyhalf and coach-player Gabriel Aredo has switched to the wing. Simon Wakabi and Adrian Wasswa will partner at the midfield for the hosts.

This match presents the potential for one of the most significant changes in the midfield this season. While Warriors are yet to earn a point this season and currently sit at the bottom of the table, Mongers are in fifth place with 4 points. Both teams, however, will be looking to bounce back to winning ways.
