Motorsport enthusiasts will have to wait a little longer for competitions to resume after the postponement of the autocross event.
The organising club, Motorsport Africa Club decided to postpone the opening round over delayed clearance.
“The event has been postponed to 28th March 2021 to adhere to the Covid requirements,” reads a bulletin from the organisers.
The National Council of Sports requires organizers of any sports federation event to provide covid19 results of participants prior to an event.
Organisers must as well submit a well detailed Covid-19 measurements plan.
The autocross event was benchmark resumption plans for the upcoming national rally events.
The motorsport federation will however decide whether the event will be held on next weekend.
