Uganda Cricket Association today named Cricket Cranes travelling squad to Namibia for a build-up tour.

The 19-man playing squad had their mandatory Covid tests done today and the final 14 travelling squad will be announced before they fly out of the country on Thursday night.

The team was announced at the official flag off by National Council of Sports General Secretary Bernard Ogwel at Lugogo.

Youngsters Jonathan Kiiza, Gerald Mubiru, Cosmas Kyewuta, Emmanuel Hasakya, Frank Akankwasa have been given a chance to impress the technical team while Hamu Bagenda Kayondo and Simon Ssesazi make a return to the Cricket Cranes.

The mix of youth and experience should be able to given The Eagles of Namibia a run for their money. Veteran Frank Nsubuga, and his brother Roger Mukasa plus Dinesh Nakran and Ronak Patel should provide the steel in the side.

The Cricket Cranes will face a very strong Namibian side in three T20 games and two 50-over games. The games will have a live stream on Facebook.
