Soltilo Bright Stars recorded a convincing 3-1 win over newly promoted Kitara during match day 16 of the Uganda Premier League on Friday, 2nd April 2021.
Gangly forward Samuel Kayongo Ssekamatte scored a brace and Marvin Joseph got the other.

Ssekamatte scored the first goal on 17 minutes off a decent assist by Joseph Akandwanaho.
Joseph Janjali assisted Marvin for the second goal on the stroke of half time as Soltilo Bright Stars led 2-0 by the mandatory break.
Kitara pulled back a goal through Monday’s well struck penalty on 63 minutes.

Monday’s second half penalty was consolation for Kitara who have now lost 13 out of 16 games since being promoted to the top tier division.
With 15 minutes left on the clock Simon Ssemayange assisted Ssekamatte for the third goal, the forward’s second on the evening, the 6th overall in as many matches this season.
Ssekamatte was named man of the match for the star performance that elevates his side to 9th on the 16 team log.
In the other matches, UPDF lost at home 3-0 to Vipers in Bombo.
KCCA recorded a 3-0 victory against Jinja based BUL at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
At the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Wakiso Giants squandered a goal lead to fall 2-1 to Mbarara City.
Action continues on Saturday, 3rd April 2021 with two matches to wind down match day 16.
Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) visits Express at the Betway Mutesa II Wankulukuku as Police visits Kyetume at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
