Geoffrey Wasswa in action against BUL FC at St. Mary's stadium

Utility player Geofrey Wasswa has signed a short term employment contract with Uganda Premier League side Sports Club Villa.

The intelligent player, comfortable as a center half, right back and holding midfielder agreed a a three month duration with the Jogoos.

The development comes after failure to agree terms with Express Football Club where he had been training for the past month or so.

Wasswa ran out of contract at Vipers Sports Club and talks to have the contract renewed fell on a dead-end.

He is expected to partner Gavin Kizito Mugweri or Asuman Harishe in central defence.

According to Wasswa’s local based representative, Simon Wasswa, the defender will be engaged to further talks or seek the murky professional waters in the diaspora.

Meanwhile, Sports Club Villa will take on Ndejje University during the round of 32 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Wasswa is expected to make his home debut on Monday, 5th April 2021 at the Army Military Stadium in Bombo.
