It’s all system go for the 2021 national motocross championship that revs off at the Victoria race track in Garuga this Sunday. 

Over 30 riders are expected to take part in the first official motocross competition. It is over a year since the covid-19 outbreak forced the suspension of competition. 

“We are all prepared for the event amidst the challenges to ensure we meet the regulations as well as putting up a thrilling event.

“All the SOPs will be put in place and we are looking at having only 200 people at the venue,” said Kisitu Mayanja, FMU deputy Vice President in charge of motorcycling.

The weekend event will run solely as a national event following the postponement of the Central African Championship. 

The Easter competition has previously doubled as a regional championship attracting competitors from East Africa.
