Calvary or Golgotha, was according to the canonical Gospels a site immediately outside Jerusalem’s walls where Jesus was crucified.

The Uganda Cup fixture between Police FC and FUFA Big League outfit Calvary FC from Yumbe district came at a perfect time, just a day after the resurrection of Jesus Christ (Easter Day).

However, Police FC did not show any mercy for Calvary FC on Easter Monday, after dispatching the latter with a 5-0 score in the first leg of the round of 32 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Ben Ocen, Brian ‘Muluuli’ Mayanja, Muhamood Hassan, Johnson Odongo and Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye scored a goal apiece to guide Police to a comfortable win.

The result gives Police FC big advantage ahead of the return leg slated for Saturday this week.

With Calavary FC hosting her FUFA Big League games at Greenlight Stadium in Arua, it is expected that the game against Police FC will also be played there.
