Uganda has been drawn alongside Kenya in the Blue Pool for the second and final tournament at the Emirates Invitational 7s training camp in Dubai, UAE.

The tournament will be played from April 8-9, 2021 at the home of sevens, The Sevens Stadium.

Last weekend in the first tournament, Uganda lost twice against Canada, 40-15 in the pool stage and 38-07 in the Cup Quarterfinal. The Rugby Cranes got their only win of the weekend in the 7/8th place playoff match, beating Spain by 24-19.

Tolbert Onyango, the Rugby Cranes Sevens head coach, has said he looks forward to fixing the areas where his team struggled last weekend.

“The Uganda team is looking forward to the second round of games kicking off tomorrow. We are placed in the same pool with Kenya, Spain (and) Canada. Kenya being very physical, Spain and Canada being very fast paced. We are looking forward to fixing our issues during those games and we hope we come out with a good result.”
