Hussein Ali Kheri has on Thursday been appointed the new head coach for FUFA Big League entity, Mbale Heroes FC.
Kheri was unveiled on Thursday in a function held at Mt. Elgon Hotel in Mbale City.
The experienced gaffer who has managed clubs like JMC Hippos FC, BUL FC, Paidha Black Angles and SC Victoria University among others replaces Bobic Odowa who was sacked on Wednesday.
Odowa who was in charge for only four games was shown the exit door following a poor start in the FUFA Big League this season, collecting just two of the possible nine points.
Mbale Heroes lost the season opener to Gadaffi FC at Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe before drawing against Calvary FC and Paidha Black Angles FC.
In the Uganda Cup, Mbale Heroes lost the first leg game at the round of 32 to Gadaffi FC and this was Odowa’s last game in charge.
Kheri comes in with Robert Mayanja and David ‘Tilika’ Kiwanuka as his assistants and his first assignment will be against Gadaffi FC who they face in the return leg this Friday.
Richard Makumbi was at the club last season, guiding them to the promotion playoffs but failed to qualify to the Uganda Premier League.
Stephen Prichard was appointed as preparations for the new season started but he was sacked before managing any game.
