BUL FC became the first team to secure a slot into the round of 16 of this year’s Uganda Cup after overcoming Blacks Power FC 5-1 on aggregate.

The Jinja based side a 3-1 win at Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in Jinja to complete a double over the FUFA Big League side. BUL FC had won the first leg 2-0 at Emokori Grounds in Bukedea.

Joseph Ssemujju, Simon Peter Oketch and Robert Mukogotya scored a goal apiece for BUL FC while Michael Siwu got the consolation for Blacks Power.

Ssemujju gave BUL FC the lead in the 18th minute when skipper of the day Fredson Gwoto teed him up.

Oketch who also scored in the first leg, doubled the lead for the home side when tapped Peter Onzima’s lay up from close range.

Mukongotya who came off the bench put the game beyond reach in the 85th minute while Siwu pulled one back for the visitors a minute later, converting from the spot.

Action will continue on Friday with five games on card. Prison side Maroons FC will host Terazzo and Tiles in Luzira. The first leg ended in a one all draw. Luweero United FC who picked a draw in Arua will host Onduparaka in Kasana while Busoga United FC will face Vipers SC.

Holders Proline FC who outwitted MYDA FC in the first leg travel to Tororo for the return leg while Mbarara City will be at home to URA FC.
