1st Entebbe Championship Corporate League:
- Saturday, 1st May 2021 – At Kisubi Seminary play grounds, Kisubi (8 AM – 6:30 PM)

All is set for the first ever Entebbe Championship Corporate League that will take place on Saturday, 1st May 2021 at Kisubi Seminary play-ground.
The official launch was held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the head offices of Five Stars Football Club – Entebbe located at Lyamutundwe, Katabi Town council.
Addressing the media during the official launch, the organizing committee general secretary Shafik Kakooza hinted on the significance of this championship as forging unity, providing the corporates with a platform to freely associate (network) and a way of exercising to maintain fit bodies.
“The main objectives of the Entebbe Championship Corporate League is to foster unity among the corporate bodies in Entebbe, network amongst themselves and provide a platform for corporates to exercise their bodies.” Kakooza disclosed.
Kakooza added that there will be only two games involved in the day-long event; football and volleyball.
The entry fee is Shs. 300,000 per corporate organization with the champions earning a trophy, gold medals as well as Shs. 600,000.
The runners up in this event will pocket Shs. 300,000.
The other prizes will included medals (silver and bronze), individual trophies for outstanding players (Most Valuable Player, top scorer and best goalkeeper), jerseys, balls and certificates.
Edward Mugyenyi is the Entebbe Championship Corporate League patron.
Mugyenyi is the pioneer of the famous Entebbe Airport league with Oscar Semawere as the chairperson.
There are a number of partners on board as; Steady imports and Exports, Entebbe Five Stars Football Club and sports center, Entebbe Airways as well as Rissy Prossy.
With the COVID-19 pandemic still existing, health precautions as social distancing, use of face masks, regular sanitizing and hand washing will be fronted at all times.
The kick off will kick off by 8 am and wind down by 6:30 PM with the prize giving ceremony.
