2020-21 Uganda Premier League (Match Day 18)

  • Kitara 0-3 Vipers
  • URA 3-1 BUL

Vipers maintained their status quo on the top of the Uganda Premier League table standings with a 3-0 win on the road over Kitara at the Masindi Municipal Stadium.

On form striker Yunus Ssentamu scored a goal in each half for the Venoms before second half substitute Paul Mucureezi capped the icing on the cake.

Ssentamu got the opener a minute after the half hour mark, connecting Ibrahim Orit’s delivery to give Vipers the early lead.

He then scored the second after 63 minutes off a well converted penalty before he paved way for Milton Karisa with 20 minutes left on the clock.

Mucureezi scored the third goal in the 73rd minute via a well struck free-kick.

The victory took Vipers to 42 points, same as URA who beat BUL 3-1 at the Arena of Visions in Luweero on the same day.

Brian Majwega, captain Shafik Kagimu and Cromwel Rwothomio were on target for URA as Walter Ochola pulled the consolation for BUL.

Richard Basangwa was named the pilsner man of the match.

Both Vipers and URA attained their 13th victory in 18 matches played.

Match day 18 continues on Saturday with a number of matches.
