Kataka Football Club – Mbale hosts Maroons on match day 6 of the 2021 FUFA Big League at the Mbale Municipal Stadium, Mbale city on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

Fresh from their 1-0 win on the road away to Blacks Power at the Emokori play ground in Bukedea, Kataka will be eyeing maximum points as they target top spot in the Elgon group.

Bashir Kyazze scored the lone goal for the Kataka against Bukedea.

Under the guidance of head coach Godfrey Toldo Awachango, Kataka has vowed to stage a spirited performance in the home game.

“We shall give 100 percent in the match when we play Maroons. We are at home and have to utilize the home advantage” Awachango disclosed.

Against Maroons, Kataka faces a wounded lion have lost their previous two matches; away to Calvary (2-1) and at home against another Mbale entity in Mbale Heroes.

Maroons under Charles Ayiekoh Lukula can not therefore avoid to slip in the third consecutive game.

Swamadu Okullu, skipper Peter Lusimbula, Nandala Nasur, Bashir Kyazze are some of the key players for Kataka.

Goalkeeper Edward Kasibante is ruled out with a muscle strain (hamstring).

Maroons has a rich collection of players as David Ndihabwe, Solomon Walusimbi, Pius Obuya, Maxwell Okello, Ceaser Olega, Isma Kawawulo, Vincent Zziwa, Eddie Kapampa, Solomon Olinga, goalkeeper Amir Nalugoda and others.

The other match day 6 games will be played on Thursday,22nd April 2021 and other subsequent day.

Three clubs will be promoted to the 2021-22 Uganda Premier League.

Of these  three, two earn direct berths from each of the groups (Rwenzori and Elgon).

The third club is determined via a promotional play-off.

For the first time since the FUFA Big League inception, a game on every match day is televised live.
