URA will overtake champions Vipers at the top of the league standings if the beat SC Villa who they face on Wednesday at Bombo.

The tax collectors head into the game in top form after seeing off Bul in their previous game and will hope to beat the Jogoos for the first time in their own back yard since 2013.

Sam Ssimbwa’s side will hope forwards Steven Mukwala and Cromwell Rwothomio are in fine form to unlock the fast improving Villa backline manned by U-20 startlet Gavin Kizito and new signing Geoffrey Wasswa.

SC Villa come off a bad result, 1-0 loss to KCCA and Edward Kaziba is aware that nothing but maximum points will be the target for his side that sit 7th on the log with 29 points.

The Jogoos will look to Ronald Ssekiganda, Nicholas Kabonge and Salim Abdallah for inspiration going forward.

Villa haven’t beaten the tax men since the 3-0 win over them in 2018 at Masaka Recreation Ground and have since lost three of the previous four meetings.
