Most left footed footballers world over are a joy to watch during play in training or matches proper.
From the sublime first touch on the ball, passing, dribbling skills, ball protection technique and the fierce shots, left footed players have it all in abundance.
Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) left back Isa Mubiru possesses all the aforementioned skills to perfection.
Despite the diminutive stature, Mubiru’s energy levels and skill on the ball surpass the bare minimum.
Mubiru is christened “Essien”, after Ghana and Chelsea’s retired midfielder, Michael Kojo Essien.
He is a technically gifted, mobile and offensive minded left full back.

What the 24 year old misses in size, is easily compensated by his quick game reading, tenacity, passing accuracy as he rolls on the touchline to assist with a cross, a cut back or a long diagonal cris-crossing pass.
He yearns to maintain the status quo and improve for the better in every aspect of the game as he aspires to play for the senior national team (Uganda Cranes) as well as in the professional leagues on the African continent and beyond.
First and foremost, I am humbled to be a footballer. Everyday, I look forward playing well, training so hard and giving 100 percent in matches proper. I have a target to play for the national senior team (Uganda Cranes) and playing professional football in the best leagues on the African continent and elsewhere.
