Former Uganda Cranes International Morley Moses Byekwaso Ochama has been accorded a three-year contract at KCCA Football Club.
The development was officially announced by the club on Wednesday, 14th July 2021 by the club.
“Morley Byekwaso who is also a former KCCA FC player will serve as Manager from July 2021 to June 2024. Everyone at the club wishes Morley Byekwaso the best during his time as KCCA FC Manager,” KCCA wrote on the club website.
KCCA chairman Martin Ssekajja warmly welcomed the new manager to the club that he once served with diligence as a player, thrice as assistant manager, and once as interim manager.
“Moses Morley Byekwaso Ochama understands the demands and expectations of all our stakeholders. We shall give him all the due support needed,” Ssekajja stated.
The announcement comes after all the technical members of KCCA FC ran down their employment contracts at the end of June 2021.
Morley took over as interim manager at the end of March 2021, a position he was supposed to serve in for three (3) months up to the end of June 2021.
Byekwaso has served as an assistant manager of KCCA FC on three occasions. Under Mathias Lule, George Nsimbe, and recently, Mike Mutebi.
In the next few days, Byekwaso, a former KCCA FC player is expected to name his technical team that he will serve with for the next three years.
The development comes when Byekwaso is away to Ethiopia on national team duties where he is head coach of the Uganda U-23 team (Kobs) for the CECAFA U-23 challenge cup tournament.
