Most successful projects world over once had humble beginnings.
It is from these baby-steps that great ideas, innovations and crucial additions –cum-supplements made such projects a joy to watch in present state.
Kijabijjo Divine Soccer Academy is among the fast rising football nurseries in Uganda having started with only 10 players and has drastically spread wings to 40 in 24 months.
This academy has its home venue at Nambogo primary school play-ground in Kijabijjo, Gayaza Kalagi road.

The academy has just clocked two years owing to the founding date; 7th April 2019.
Kijabijjo Divine Soccer Academy is fully registered with the Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA) under the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA).
According to Godfrey Brian Ssewanyana, the founder of this academy, the project was put in place having noticed the high level of school drop outs and non- school going children due to excessive poverty in their homes and also others being orphans, their guardians fail to meet their school dues.

Ssewanyana therefore realized the need of bringing these children together into a soccer academy.
“The intension was to promote discipline, to tap, develop and nurture their talents with the assumption that this would later create a channel through which children would acquire school Bursaries (scholarships – full and half) for further education and also connect to the world to achieve their football dreams.” Ssewanyana states.

The academy accommodates children from the ages of 3 to 14 years that are inculcated into the body’s mission and vision;
To identify children’s talents in the field of play, nurture and enable them connect the world with soccer skills.
Kijabijjo Divine Soccer Academy Mission
