Joseph Akandanahwo celebrates a goal at Soltilo Bright Stars last season. He has since transferred to Express FC

Left footed attacker Joseph Akandwanaho will play at the reigning Uganda Premier League champions, Express Football Club next year and possibly the subsequent seasons.

The development comes after the Red Eagles agreed terms with the player’s parent club Soltilo Bright Stars.

Akandwanaho still had a year left on his employment contract at Soltilo Bright Stars since his transfer from Nyamityobora at the end of the 2019 – 2020 season.

Express reacted swiftly to swap the gifted left winger from the hands of Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) who had also expressed interest in his signature.

Last season, Akandwanaho scored 8 league goals including a hat-trick against relegated Kitara.
