FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers
Fourth Round, First Leg
Uganda vs Ghana
Saturday, 22nd January 2022
St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende
Kick-off: 4PM

Ghana U20 Women’s National Team safely arrived in Uganda on Thursday evening ahead of the encounter against the latter on Saturday at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

A squad comprised of 22 players touched base at Entebbe International Airport at 7:50PM aboard Ethiopian Airlines. The team was initially supposed to arrive in the morning but there was a flight delay.

Key among the Black Princesses squad is skipper Evelyn Badu who scored the lone goal as Ghana eliminated Zambia at the previous round.

Badu was named the MVP at the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League last year as her team Hasaacas Ladies lost to Mamelodi Sundowns LFC in the final.

Ghana who have featured at the previous four editions will seek to overcome a tricky Ugandan side that has had a fairytale run in qualifiers overcoming Kenya and South Africa in the second and third round respectively.

The winner between Uganda and Ghana will face either Ethiopia or Tanzania in the final qualifying stage.
