The former Vipers Sports Club playmaker also featured at Belgian top-flight club Standard Liège in 2016 until January 31, 2017, when he was loaned to Royal Excel Mouscron until the end of the season.

In February 2018, Miya was again loaned to Səbail FK, returning at the end of the 2017–18 season to Standard Liege.

He later featured at Croatian side HNK Gorica. On 20 August 2019, he signed a three-year contract with Süper Lig side Konyaspor, making his dream debut five days later against Galatasaray at Türk Telekom Stadium.

Since 2014, he has been capped 58 times, scoring 19 goals for the Uganda Cranes having also played at two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments in Gabon (2017) and Egypt (2019).

He made his national team debut on 14th July 2014 against Seychelles at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

Miya’s new club hosts their home matches at the 34,915 capacity Arena Lviv Stadium.

The club president is Bohdan Kopytko, with Oleg Dulub as the head coach.

During the previous season, FC Lviv completed the Ukraine Premier League season in the 8th position.

Miya is a good offensive midfielder who has an odd eye for the back of the net as he often involves teammates.

He also won the Airtel-FUFA best footballer of the year in 2015.
