The Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA) held a successful 19th Executive Committee meeting at Kenendia Hotel, Katwe in Kampala Region on Friday, 28th January 2022.

The Executive members made a number of deliberations and passed various resolutions that ranged from approval of member academies, those pending as well as others that successfully applied for change of names as well as passing of the annual activity calendar.

In total, 24 member academies were admitted. They included; Olympia Sports Academy, Bukomansimbi Eagles Soccer Academy, Mbale Tigers Soccer Academy, Lukaaya Soccer Academy, Iteen Soccer Academy, Spot the Talent Football Academy, Calvary Soccer Academy, Wakiso Soccer Academy, Ubuntu Soccer Foundation Academy, Inspire Talented Soccer Academy, West Nile Rhino Sports Club Academy, Eleos Soccer Academy Gganda, Summer Kids Football Academy, Re-Raise Child Foundation Soccer Academy, Skill Line Academy, Mbale Soccer Academy, Wonder Ants Soccer Academy, MYDEL Soccer Academy, Excellent Soccer Academy, Toto Football Academy, Success Angels Soccer Academy, SOM Football Academy, Taquwa Soccer Academy and Divine Athletic Soccer Academy.

Pending:

Six academies were left in pending mode as they are monitored.

These were; Minerals Soccer Academy, Rise and Shine Football Academy, LOCONA Soccer Academy, Wagagai Warriors Soccer Academy, Go Ahead Eagles Academy.

Changed names:

Two academies were allowed to changed names. Free-kick soccer academy moulted from Uganda Support Soccer Academy.

In the same vein, Next Generation Soccer Academy was permitted to change from Kireka Soccer Academy.

Meanwhile, the executive body request Walugembe Memo Snipers requested to change their name.

At the same time, Lugazi Soccer Academy and Mentor International Sports Academy were also accepted back following years without subscription.

UYFA U-15 national championship:

For the first time ever, UYFA will hold the inaugural national U-15 championship.

To that effect, the Eastern Region Football Association was selected to host the event.

The executive body also resolved that no academy will go across borders to take part in international competition (s) without a letter from the UYFA, FUFA and National Council of Sports (NCS).

Also, the annual UYFA activity calendar for the year 2022 was released.
