Uganda Premier League 2021-2022:

  • Soltilo Bright Stars 0-3 Uganda Revenue Authority (URA)

URA overcame Soltilo Bright Stars 3-0 in the Uganda Premier League at Kavumba Recreational Stadium on Tuesday, 1st February 2021.

Lethal forward Steven Desse Mukwala scored a brace and Viane Ssekajugo added the other.

Mukwala set up Ssekajugo for the opener after 26 minutes as the tax collectors took the lead heading to the mandatory halftime break.

Only URA’s Ashraf Mandela was the cautioned party in the game where Mukwala was deservedly named the man of the match.

It was a sad return for Soltilo Bright Stars’ head coach Paul Kiwanuka after a spell away to Vipers where he was assistant coach to Fred Kajoba Kisitu.

This was one of URA’s games in hand as they have now played 14 matches.

The win takes them to 5th on the 16 team log with 25 points, same as Arua Hill.

Soltilo Bright Stars descend to 15th, staying on 11 points from 15 matches, same as Busoga United who have played 14 games.

The league continues with an epic clash between Vipers and Sports Club Villa on Wednesday, 2nd February 2022 at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
