- Roots Rugby Team 40-06 Puerto Rico
Roots Rugby team registered a comprehensive 40-6 victory over Puerto Rico to lift the 2022 Heritage Cup at the Tequesta Trace Park, Indian Trace in Weston, United States of America.
Ugandan star Arnold Mananu was in scintillating form scoring a hat-trick of tries in the flood-lit duel against the Caribbean Island US. Territory that has a landscape of mountains, waterfalls, and the El Yunque tropical rainforest.

A squad player for Copperhead Rugby League Football Club (representing South West Florida), Mananu expressed delight having played for Roots, a select team of Black Rugby players.
“I am excited having made my debut for Roots Rugby team. This is a team with Black heritage players from across the entire world. Making three tries was also superb. I thank my teammates for the solidarity exhibited,” Mananu who hails from the West Nile district of Zombo remarked after the game.

Mananu has previously featured for Buffaloes Rugby Football Club in the Nile Special Rugby Premiership in his native country, Uganda before he ventured into the murky professional waters in the United States.
At Copperheads RLFC, Mananu is joined by other Africans as the Kermudu duo of Kevin and Jude, Kenyan Brian Orare as well as South Africans Quintus de Bruyn and Steven Gibb.
For starters, Mananu left Uganda in 2018 before making his debut at Copperheads on 9th June in the same year against Atlanta Rhinos R.L.
