Uganda U20 Women’s National Team captain Fauzia Najjemba has completed a move to Kazakhstan Women Championship outfit BIIK Kazygurt, Kawowo Sports can confirm.
The forward signed a two-year deal to join the Kazakh Champions, leaving Kampala Queens where she featured for the last two seasons.

Najjemba left the country on Sunday to link up with the team ahead of the new season that will get underway next month.

She becomes the second Ugandan to play for BIIK Kazygurt with Fazila Ikwaput being the first in 2018.
While at the club, Ikwaput became the first Ugandan female footballer to feature in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and also scored a goal against Barcelona.

Najjemba had a good run in 2021, finishing as the top scorer for Uganda at the CECAFA U20 Women’s Championship with eleven goals in five games.

She was also named the FUFA Female footballer of the year thus attracting interest from several teams across the world.
Before joining Kampala Queens, the ambidextrous player had previously featured for Isra Soccer Academy in the FUFA Women Elite League.
