Daisy Iri Birwinyu is the first ever president of Paidha Black Angels Football Club.

Businesswoman-cum-medical practicioner Daisy Birwinyuiri is the newly elected chairperson of Paidha Black Angels Football Club.

The West Nile region based franchise confirmed the election of this trained nurse by professional for a two year tenure.

Birwinyuiri becomes the first female chairperson for this club that was founded 43 years ago.

She was the only successful candidate as duly confirmed by the club’s electoral commission through the club Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

She was thus elected unopposed following the club statute rules and procedures in the general election exercise during the general assembly on Saturday 19th February 2022.

That said, the old leadership led by the previous chairperson Lewin Piyich was dissolved.

Birwinyuiri is expected to declare her full working executives in the next five days.

Thereafter, there shall be an official tranquil handover (on a date yet to confirmed).

The new chairperson once served as a club team doctor for five seasons and her Zombo based clinic (God’s Grace Health Unit) was then the official club health dispensary.

Among her immediate tasks entails establishing sound structures upon which the club pillars will be built.

She also had to mobilize the financial resources, fans as well as assemble a formidable team as they fight to get promoted to the second division (FUFA Big League) enroute where back to the first tier (Uganda Premier League).

Paidha Black Angels Football Club was founded in 1979.

Christened as the “Blacks”, Paidha Black Angels host their home games at the Barokoro playground in Zombo.
