Buganda Region 2021-2022 (Match Day 9):
- Free Stars 1-2 Lugazi
Lugazi Football Club recovered from a goal down to edge Free Stars 2-1 during match day 9 of the 2021-2022 Buganda Regional League at the Bishops SSS playground in Mukono on Saturday, 19th February 2022.
Akram Muzanyi gave Free Stars the half time lead with the game’s opener.
Forward Gerald Ogwetti and veteran midfielder Moses Ali Feni scored for Lugazi in the subsquent half.
Lugazi head coach Dan Ssegawa was full of praise for his charges for the brevity and determination of recovering from a goal down to win the game officiated by Moses Lubowa.
“When we conceded in the first half, we did not lose hope. We remained on the game plan we came with. I thank the players for the brave show in the second half” Ssegawa remarked.

Kira United is home to Synergy at the Kira playground, Lugazi Nabugabo United shall host Simba at the St Andrew’s playground in Lugazi.
Seeta United squares up against Buikwe Res Stars at Paul Mukasa SS playground, Mukono; Manyangwa shall face Lugazi Municipal at Gayaza Church playground, Manyangwa as Buwambo entertains Kiwanga in Buwambo.
Meanwhile, Kampala University Masaka branch will face Young Simba at the Gayaza playground in Masaka city, Lukaya Town Council will entertain high flying Kajjansi United at the Bulakati playground.
Away in Mityana, Kiyinda Boys will battle Busiro United at the Ssaza ground, Kakiri Town Council hosts Standard High School, Zana at the Gombolola playground in Kakiri town.
Former Uganda Premier League entity Entebbe makes the trip to Masaka City to face the home side at Masaka Recreational Stadium.
