Postponed (Super Eagles Vs Sports Club Villa – Uganda Cup Round of 64)
Sunday’s would be Uganda Cup match at the stage of 64 between Sports Club Villa and Gulu’s Super Eagles will be played at a further date.
The postponement follows a nasty accident suffered by Sports Club Villa delegation to Gulu, Northern Uganda on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
The accident happened at Migeera after the club bus reportedly hit a big stone and overturned.

Although no fatalities were reported, a couple of players and officials suffered bruises and cuts.
The entire delegation of players and officials were successfully evacuated from the overturned bus by sympathizers.
One of the team captains Gavin Kizito Mugweri suffered bruises on the right knee and he revealed to Kawowo Sports that he is improving.

“I have pain on the right knee after I got bruises. I am improving after getting first aid at St Francis Clinic in Migeera. Thanks to Allah that we still have the life” Mugweri stated.
Others as Ibrahim Saddam Juma, Meddie Kibirige and Mubarak Kiberu (goalkeeping coach) were feared to have internal complications.
The club posted via their official social media platform (Twitter) about the incident, indicating that the injured were rushed to the nearby St. Francis Clinic in Migeera.
We got an accident at Migeera as we were heading to Gulu for our Stanbic Uganda Cup game against Super Eagles, the injured players were rushed to St Francis Clinic in Migeera and the game was called off!
Sports Club Villa Statement

The bus that overturned had spent close to two years grounded until it was repaired.
Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) will closely monitor the situation as a fresh date for the match is planned.
The winner between Super Eagles and Sports Club Villa will face Express at the round of 32 (Betway Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium).
