Kitende Zone Copa football qualifiers 2022:

The 2022 Kitende zone copa football qualifiers kicked off at the Paradise Gardens (near Bweya airfield) and Kings way High school playgrounds.
The first 8 schools taking part are divided into 2 pools, groups A and B.
Group A has giants St Mary’s Boarding SS –Kitende, Elite SS, Airfield SS and Hope SS, playing all their games at the Paradise Gardens playground near Bweya Airfield.
Host school Kings Way High School hosts group B schools that also have Kajjansi Progressive, Uganda Mary’s Bweya and Bethel Covenant College.
Opening results:
A total of 12 goals were scored on match day one with a couple of shocking results over the 6 games played.
St Mary’s Boarding SS, Kitende and Airfield SS played to a goal-less draw.
Hope SS won 1-0 over Elite S.S before St Mary’s Boarding SS, Kitende recovered to humiliate Hope S.S.
Brian Olega netted a brace, Johnson Kabagambe and Fazil Tumwine added the other goals.
In group B, Uganda Marty’s Bweya beat Kajjansi Progressive 1-0.
Bethel Covenant College piped Kings Way 1-0, Kajjansi Progressive and Bethel Covenant College played to a 2-all draw before Uganda Marty’s Bweya overcame hosts Kings Way.
The group stage matches continue on Tuesday, 8th March 2022.
Semifinals and finals shall be played at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
The semi-finals come on Thursday 10th March before the final on the subsequent day.
According to Joseph Kasana, chairperson in charge of technical affairs on the organizing committee, there are specific parameters that have been set to run these games.
A student to participate in these game is supposed to have been born between 2006 and 1st January 2001. He should have sat Primary Leaving Examinations (P.L.E) not earlier than 2015 with original and photo copies of academic papers before screening day. He should be a bona-fide student of the school with a valid Identity card.

Two teams shall qualify from Kitende zone to play at the Wakiso District level alongside the schools from the other zones as Entebbe, Aggrey, Nsangi, Matugga and Wakiso.
