Boston High School Mpala continued with its dominance in the Entebbe Zone post primary football competition, winning their 6th successive title.
The Mpala based school along Entebbe road overcame Kisubi Mapeera 2-0 during a well-attended final at the Katabi Gombolola playground on Monday, 14th March 2022.
Drub Angok and Ronald Kimera scored in either half for the team coached by Hussein Mulawa.
Mulawa attributed the success to early preparations and diligence.
“I am humbled for this victory. We started training early enough and also planned well. The journey continues since we have the zonal championships in the coming week” Mulawa, a former goalkeeper at Entebbe Young and Entebbe FC remarked.
The two finalists (Boston High School and Kisubi Mapeera) qualified to the Wakiso District zonal championship which are slated to be held in Matugga zone (24th to 26th March 2022).
Wakiso District has the different zones of Entebbe, Kitende, Aggrey, Matugga, Nsangi and Wakiso Town Council.
Five schools progress to the national finals that will be hosted in Arua city later in May 2022.
Meanwhile, Taggy High School overcame Joy High School, Katabi 2-0 to lift the girls’ football trophy in Entebbe Municipality.
The netball final was won by Boston High School, Mpala with a 27-20 score over Entebbe Girls.
