The Uganda Rugby Sevens national team management has named a 14-man squad for camp ahead of the Africa Men’s Rugby 7s tournament.

The tourney will be played next weekend (April 23-24) at Kyadondo Rugby Club.

The team will be captained by Heathens star center Michael Wokorach who will be assisted by his Kobs opposite Ian Munyani and has one foreign-based player in Philip Wokorach who features for ASBC rugby in France.

Black Pirates have six players on the squad and these are Kelvin Balaggade, Timothy Kisiga, William Nkore, Desire Ayera, Alex Aturinda, and Isaac Massanganzira.

Nation Sevens champions KOBs have three in Munyani, Adrian Kasito, and rising star Karim Arinaitwe while Heathens have Michael Wokorach, Aaron Ofoyrwoth, Norbert Okeny, and Claude Otema on the team.

The final 12 are expected to be named during the course of the tournament week.

The tournament will also double as the qualifier for this year’s Commonwealth Games and World Cup.
