Overview:
The Corporate League was formed on July 24, 2002, to bring corporate communities together through sports, the League is an inter-corporate tournament where organizations compete in friendly games, and a perfect ground for like-minded professionals to network.
The latest Corporate league outing was held at the Kyadondo Rugby Grounds Lugogo (football) and Hotel Africana (Swimming and pool table) on Sunday, 30th October 2022.
Once again, the Corporate family swapped their suits and ties for sportswear, to be part of what is arguably the biggest corporate multi-sport event in the country.
I&M Bank Uganda continued to shine, as one of the teams putting up tremendous performances at every outing, to book a spot among the top ten teams in the corporate league.
They edged BBS 1-0, played to a 2-all draw with CFAO Motors and other stalemate, 1-all against Stanbic Bank.
Godfrey Odoch, the team manager attributed their remarkable performance to discipline and determination.
“Soccer and swimming went on very smoothly for our team. Our main aim in this outing was to earn as many points as possible and maintain our spot amongst the top ten. The team performed exceptionally well, and with discipline and determination, I believe we shall make it amongst the top three, or even take the top spot,” remarked Odoch.
As they near to the first anniversary in the Ugandan market, I&M Bank’s Communications & Marketing Manager, Ronnie Zalwango lauded the organisers of the Corporate League in a special way, for availing them a platform where they get to recharge, keep fit, and meet with potential clients.
“As we gear up for our first anniversary in Uganda, we are grateful to the Corporate League organisers for the opportunity to be part of the league. The outings have helped us to keep fit and healthy, and also offered a relaxed atmosphere for us to meet and interact with potential customers,” Zalwango revealed.

The last Sunday of November will mark the final outing of the year.
On Friday, 2nd December 2022, there will be the Corporate League CEO Dinner, Awards & fundraiser at Nile Hall, Hotel Africana (4:00 PM).
This will be followed by the Uganda Corporate Marathon and Trade Expo 2022 at Kololo Ceremonial grounds on Sunday, 11th December.
