Overview:
The four candidates will be subject to a vote by referees, team coaches and players with a valid license. The winner will be awarded during the annual June assembly.
The Uganda Ludo Federation (ULF) released four candidates for the 2022 Most Valuable Player (MVP) distinction.
The nominees include the Uganda Ludo national team captain Huzaifa Matovu, Emmanuel Mubiru, Arthur Mutebi and the only lady, Beth Nagaddya.
The nominations were confirmed by the Uganda Ludo federation’s technical and competitions committee.
Beth Nagaddya:
Beth Nagaddya is the best African and Ugandan female Ludo player.
With her virtuoso performances, Nagaddya was recently recognized as the best female player in the 2022 World Ludo Championship, after showing her master of class dicing with men.
She also played an integral role in Nansana Galaxy who triumphed the 2022 top flight trophy.
Emmanuel Mubiru:
Emmanuel Mubiru was part of the National Team (Uganda Doves) that recently won the 2022 World Ludo Championship, that was held in Nepal and Dubai.
The skilled player was not only very instrumental on national duty, but he also contributed a lot to his team Nansana Galaxy who were crowned as champions of the 2022 National Ludo Super League.

Arthur Mutebi:
He is a Nansana Galaxy gold medalist as well as mini-trophy achiever as the super league, 2022 best player MVP.
Mutebi was very influential in the Nansana Galaxy team that won its first ever National Ludo Super League title.

Huzaifa Matovu:
It’s by no surprise that Huzaifa Matovu, the captain of Uganda national ludo team (The Doves) is among the nominees for this prestigious award.
Matovu had a prolific campaign where he helped win the 2022 World Ludo championship.
He further helped his club Masaka Giants to become the runner’s up in the super league, 2022.
The four candidates will be subject to a vote before the declaration of final results will be done on Thursday, 12th January 2023 by 3:00pm.
The winner will be awarded during the annual June assembly.
Who is eligible to vote?
- Well trained referees with a valid certificate obtained from the Uganda Ludo Federation.
- Team coaches with a valid certificate obtained from the Uganda Ludo Federation.
- Players of the sport with a valid license for super league.
