For the record, Mbale Tigers Table Tennis Club has produced a number of outstanding players as Florence Seera, Ritah Nakhumitsa, Irene Nekesa and others.
The annual Mbale Tigers Table Tennis Holiday training program has lured as many as forty (40) young players.
This camp is at Namakwekwe Social Centre in the Northern Division of Mbale City, Eastern Uganda.
Jude Mutete, the head coach of Mbale Table Tennis Club, asserts that this camp will help many upcoming young players learn the game as the recruitment process aggressively rages on.
“The Mbale Table Tennis Holiday training program has attracted as many as 40 young players. These are players recruited to widen the base for the sport in this country. Such a camp also helps to produce players that are given scholarships to outstanding schools in the country,” Mutete, also the head coach of Uganda’s National Table Tennis team reveals.
Mbale Table Tennis Club has lined up a number of activities on its calendar including the Table Tennis Zero (TTX) Tournament which is a sport for beginners.

In Early February 2023 (3rd to 5th), this club will host the Mbale Open, a championship that lures players from other different countries such as Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda.
A number of excelling students in Table Tennis have been accorded educational scholarships to schools such as the Mbogo Schools, St. Andrew’s Ssanda, St. Michael International, Mbale Progressive, Nkoma Secondary School, among others.
Mutete has appealed to the Government to help fund the sport and provide more facilities.
